For the perfect active family holiday, our converted Farmhouse is just minutes from Lake Bled in a beautiful village surrounded by cliffs and overlooking the stunning Bohinjka valley. We worked hard during the renovation process to combine the building's traditional charm with modern convenience and are sure you'll find everything need for a perfect holiday in the Slovenian countryside. Outside there is a large garden area and a new swimming pool, plus rock climbing, literally, in the back garden, heaps of sightseeing and more activities than you can shake a stick at. Skiing, horse riding, kayaking, hill-walking, golf and para-gliding are all minutes away and because it's Slovenia you know that the guides will be friendly, speak great English, be qualified and safe. The Retreat, our adorable Alpine Chalet is the perfect place to get away from it all. Surrounded by hillside and meadow above Slovenia's famous  Soča Valley, you can escape from all the stresses and strains of modern living with someone special, or with your family. Bovec, the premier outdoor sports centre in this part of Slovenia, is less than half an hour away and some of Slovenia's best hill walking trails start right outside, so you know there'll be plenty to do. Usually, however, we find that guests spend most of their time soaking in the views, the sunshine and the peace and quiet.
